The drums and percussion are played by Tommy Clufetos who has previously played with Ted Nugent, Rob Zombie and Alice Cooper. Bass Guitar is played by Rob "Blasko" Nicholson and Adam Wakeman plays keyboards.
Scream contains: Let It Die, Let Me Hear You Scream, Soul Sucker and 8 other tracks
The album clocks in at 47:41 and contains 11 tracks: "Let it Die", "Let me Hear You scream", "Soul Sucker", "Life Won't Wait", "Diggin Me Down", "Crucify", "Fearless", "Time", "I Want It More", "Latimer's Mercy" and a very short 1:04 "I Love You All" which is Ozzy's thank you to his fans.
Those who pre-ordered the CD off of iTunes got the bonus track "One More Time" and the Japanese edition contains "Jump The Moon."
Gus G brings a new sound to this material and has a different style than Zakk Wylde and really rocks out on "Let Me Hear You Scream".
The first 3 songs on the album "Let it die", "Let Me Hear You Scream " and "Soul Sucker" will have you rocking with very heavy riffs. But song four, "Life Won't Wait" is more melodic and brooding.
"Diggin' Me Down", track 5, starts off slow with an acoustic opening by Gus G. than comes the heaviest guitars on the album. The song is straight up Ozzy "How will I know you Mr Jesus Christ? Have you already been here once or twice? How will I know that you are the son of god?"
"Crucify" starts out with melodic keyboards and has some great lyrics. "I'm gonna swear on a bible while I'm feeding you lies."
"Fearless" is self-explanatory, "I am fearless, no mercy, no weakness."
"Time" is a ballad and while it is not quite as bad as Ozzy's epic fail duet with Lita Ford, most fans find that this song feels out of place on this record.
"I Want It More" has a great opening riff and multiple bridges and hooks.
"Latimer's Mercy" has Canadian content and is based on the Robert Latimer mercy-killing story and makes people ponder about what they might do in a similar situation.
"I Love You All" is not a song, it is just Ozzy thanking his fans, and while nice, this is not a song.
Top tracks are: "Let It Die", "Let Me Hear You Scream", "Digging Me Down" and "I Want It More" which can be downloaded off of iTunes or off Ozzy.com. Overall the CD should be of interest to both long-time Ozzy fans and those who are just now discovering "The Prince of Darkness" as it contains great guitar riffs, strong vocals, and sounds like what most Ozzy fans expect.
